Introduction

Japanese and foreign musicians come together for a wonderful event to support the people of Miyagi as they rebuild their lives.

Traditional instruments and music including Koto and Shakuhachi, world music and original music using didgeridoo, percussion, marimba, all women's jazz ensemble (american and japanese), and  the new  jazz mash band including a 6 piece band playing the favorite jazz standards loved in Japan from America.

日本と外国のミュージシャンが宮城支援のために集まります。

琴や尺八を使った伝統的な音楽、ワールドミュージック、パーカッション・マリンバ・ディジュリドゥを使ったオリジナルミュージック、全員女性のジャスグループ（アメリカ人と日本人）、ザ・ニュージャズ・マッシュバンド、6つの楽器とシンガーが、アメリカと日本で愛されているスタンダードジャズを奏でます。

Intentions for distribution for charity funds
チャリティー義援金の使用用途

This charity event is being held in order to raise funds to help support the citizens of Ishinomaki, Miyagi , specifically the Koganehama area.

このチャリティーイベントは、まだ支援が十分行き届いていない、宮城県石巻市黄金浜地区の皆さんへの支援をするために開催されます。

We plan to assist them by providing:

1. Periodic cooking events / 食料・炊き出し

To help support the full time kitchen staff at the local shelters in the affected areas with limited cooking amenities. Watch the report of our first trip to Miyagi here.

2. Movable covers or tents / テント

It is easily transported and assembled to cover the outside area where the citizens gather for food distribution, meetings, announcements from officials, extra classroom space, in order to be protected from the rain, sun, and conditions that would make it difficult for the citizens to gather for important events.

3. Teaching and education /トレーニングやサポート

We intend to support teaching and educating other groups of volunteers that would like to do similar activites in the affected areas and support the growth of grassroots movements such as we have started.
